A truly stunning pair of 19th century ebonised chairs with abalone and gilt detailing. These chairs are remarkable in their detail and condition. Originally these would have been bergere cane which has been changed to upholstery. The back of each chair has great old iron blacksmith repairs showing that these chairs have been truly loved. These chairs are sound and stable and can still be used but they would be better suited for display and for their artistic merit being delicate by design. They certainly make a statement.
